Transportation Engineering Project Manager

HBC Engineering Company is seeking a skilled Transportation Engineering Project Manager to lead and support a variety of roadway, traffic signal, signing, drainage, and general civil design projects.


This position involves managing project tasks, mentoring junior staff, performing technical design work, and assisting with proposal preparation. The Project Manager will also help develop client relationships and coordinate with governmental agencies to ensure successful project delivery.


Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida, with at least 8 years of experience in roadway design, signing and marking, drainage, utility coordination, and traffic signal design or operations. MicroStation and GEOPAK proficiency, along with strong communication and leadership skills, are required. Project management experience is a plus.

Human Resources Manager

HBC Engineering Company is looking for an exceptional Staff Accountant to join our team in the Doral Office. The successful candidate must have a strong interest and understanding of business accounting some of which include accounts receivable and payable, communicating with clients via email and phone, reconciling bank accounts, coordinating with the accounting firm, running monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and other general day-to-day finance operations.


The selected candidate will also take the lead and assist in promoting and enforcing our Company's culture to continue growing together in a remote work environment. This side of the role will include light admin work, as well as help with planning and organizing company events.

  • Duties

    • Running the billing cycle and managing Accounts Receivable.
    • Enforcing timely collection of AR.
    • Entering vendor invoices for approval.
    • Internally coordinating with appropriate teams to identify billings and project progress.
    • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
    • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
    • Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
    • Maintaining documentation that may be needed during an audit.
    • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
    • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
    • Assisting the financial controller as needed.
    • Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes.
    • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

    • Proven experience meeting regular deadlines
    • Must display sound judgment and strong attention to detail, relate well to others, have a professional demeanor, and be well-organized
    • Must be flexible, self-motivated, able to prioritize multiple tasks, coordinate shifting priorities, respond to short-term deadlines, and carry a heavy and diverse workload
    • Excellent communication and writing skills
    • Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
    • Minimum four (4) years related experience in accounting and finance.
